Alice M. Marolf, 94, Green Bay, died peacefully, Thursday, December 6, 2012, at her home. Alice was born on October 18, 1918, the daughter of the late Louis and Georgiana (Marcell) La Frenier. She graduated from Iron Mountain, Michigan High School. Alice married Robert W. Marolf in Iron Mountain, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 1962. She was a state supervisor for House of Stuart Cosmetic Company and a cosmetic buyer for Osco Drug. Alice was employed at Wisconsin Job Service until her retirement in August of 2003. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels. Alice loved children and the children showed their love back with many hugs, kisses, and happy smiles. She loved to bake especially around the holidays and share her "goodies" with family and friends. When Alice was younger and healthy she opened her home and entertained her many dear friends. Throughout Alice's life she showed that determination, hope, faith and love go a long way on the road of life to bring happiness to friends and family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Donald) Neuhengen, Naples, Fl and Sharon (John) Conard, Bonita Springs, Fl; two grandchildren, Michele (Phil) Perlson, Asheville, N.C. and Michael (Mary) Conard, Green Bay, WI. Alice was very passionate in her devotion and love of her great grandchildren, Corporal Michael Conard Junior (Lance Corporal Jessica), Hannah and Sam Conard, Alica and Summer Perlson. Alice was very close to her devoted niece, Janet Jentes (Bill); grandniece, Justine (Dan) Jentes; and great grandnephew, Laszlo Earle Karuna Jentes. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews, Robert (Dorothy) Cleary, Bernice (Jack) Keyes), William Archer; and grandnephews, Paul and Mark. Alice had many very close friends, Ellie Grovogel, Marcia Baeten, Tonya Herlik, Bonnie and Gus Andre, Joan Leaman, Rosemary Rasmussen, Diane Soik, Maria Nichols, Mary Fritz, Lynn Challe and Kenneth Johnson, security guard at Wisconsin Job Service; as well as numerous other good friends.
Two brothers, Arthur and William La Frenier and two sisters, Agnes Oberg and Melvina Larson preceded her in death.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Monday from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.. Parish wake service 7:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Tuesday's visitation will be held at St. Mary of the Angels Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, OFM officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund for Unity Care Services has been established at the funeral home.
Unity Care provided Alice with an improved quality of life the last two years. A special thank you to Molly, Amanda, Dacelle, and Heather.
