Allan LaPlante, 54, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, just five days before his 55th birthday. Surrounded by all those who loved him dearly, his beloved mother was surely waiting to welcome him at Heaven's gates with a hug as well as a homemade feast and an early birthday cake. He was a proud employee of Innovative Services, Aspiro, Barc Industries, and Curative Workshop.
Allan was born March 27, 1959, in Green Bay to Lyle and Donna (Macco) LaPlante, and inherited both his mother's passion for bingo and his father's cribbage skills, though not his father's poker face. He cherished being around animals, particularly cats and dogs, and was an avid Packers fan. Allan was really talented at latch hook as well. He loved everything about trains and particularly enjoyed traveling to see family members across the country. Allan was enthusiastic about collecting and crushing aluminum cans. He also treasured spending time at the cabin with his brothers and watching deer at the feeder. Allan truly enjoyed helping others in whatever way he could and was always more excited to give than to receive. We will miss his trademark grin and belly laugh as well as his phone calls with daily updates; he is already so very missed by all.
Allan is survived by his father, Lyle; two brothers, Jeff (special friend Claire) and Dennis (Kim); five nieces, Kris (Greg) Everard, Stacy LaPlante (fiancé, Jake), Dr. Laura LaPlante (Matt Baudhuin), Kelsey LaPlante, Allison LaPlante; one nephew, Lucas LaPlante; two great-nephews, Brayden and Wade; and many other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
