Gerlikowski, Ambrose A.
Ambrose A. Gerlikowski, 91, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born September 28, 1921, in Green Bay to Albert and Magdaline (Josten) Gerlikovski.
Ambrose graduated from Green Bay East High School. On June 28, 1952, he married Elizabeth "Betty" Kiley at St. Patrick Catholic Church. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. Ambrose served in the U.S. Army during WWII
. He was a graduate of St. Norbert College and attended Marquette University for post-graduate studies. Ambrose was employed as a Salesman in the electrical field and also worked part-time at Sears. He was a charter member of St. Jude Parish, where he served as an usher. He was also an usher for Packers games for 70 years. Ambrose enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, and spending time at his cabin in Silver Cliff.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Ann; son, Paul; grandson, Ryan; sister, Gerry (George) Brunette; brother-in-law, Bede Baeten; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alden (Eunice) Gerlikovski; and a sister, Evelyn Baeten.
Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the church with Fr.
