Anita Van Den Elsen, 65, of De Pere, passed away late Monday night, March 17, 2014 at home. The daughter of the late John Swartz and Violet (Medbourn) Swartz was born on September 24, 1948 in Chicago IL. She married Joseph Van Den Elsen on September 16, 2000 in Oneida WI.

Anita worked in the paper industry for 33 years. Starting at was once American Can and continuing on through all the ownership changes to what is now called Georgia-Pacific. Anita was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, she was a community volunteer, and always helped wherever she could. Anita Loved to travel, camp, dance, go to theatre productions, relax on the beach, and spend as much time as she could with her family and friends

Survivors include her husband, Joe, her children Anthony (Jenny) Pagano, Paula Pagano (Ted Brockman), Christopher Paul, grandchildren, Sasha (Jason) Urban, Anthony Readdy, Crystal Pagano, great-grandchildren, Matthew, Caleb, and Benecio. In addition, she is survived by her sister Regina Knight and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Mary Lee Robertson and Rosalie Swartz.

Family and friends may call at our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family Church, Lourdes Avenue at Suburban Drive, De Pere Friday March 21, 2014 from 5pm-8pm and Saturday March 22, 2014 from 9am-10:30am with the Mass of Christian Burial being held at 10:30, with Fr.
