Carol Jean (Walther) Medeiros

Carol Jean (Walther) Medeiros, age 61, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on December 2, 2012 from injuries received as a result of a car accident on October 8, 2012.

Carol was born on September 13, 1951, in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the daughter of John and Phyllis (Brandt) Walther. She graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in June 1969. After high school, she continued her education at Northeast Wisconsin Technical Institute, obtaining her degree as a Medical Assistant. She was dedicated to her work in the medical profession and the care of her patients was always a top priority. Carol will live on in others through her gift of sight as an organ donor.

In addition to her career, she also enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Those who knew her will always remember her quick wit and unique sense of humor.

On December 19, 1992, Carol was united in marriage to Nicolau Medeiros in New Bedford, MA.

Carol is survived by her husband, Nick; her son Ben (Lisa) Mooers of Deerwood, MN; step grandchildren, Kuin and Maren Medeiros of Acushnet, MA; siblings, John (Joan) Walther of St John Newfoundland, Thea Fallen of Arlington, MN, Mary (Richard) Rotar of Evansville, WI, and Michael (Mary) Walther of Bloomington, IL., and many other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother-in-law, Rev. Frederick Fallen and step son, Michael Medeiros.

No services are planned at this time. A private memorial service and internment will take place at a future date in MA. A toast with good wine would make her happy. Memorials may be mailed to Nicolau Medeiros, 3211 Kingbird Dr, North Las Vegas, NV 89084.

The ones we love never truly leave us. Memories remind us that we have loved and have been loved…that our lives were touched by someone very special.
