Witte, Caroline G. (Carrie)
Caroline G. (Carrie) Witte, 82, of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday morning June 29, 2013, at the Berlin Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 6, 1931, in Berlin, the only daughter of Michael and Florence (Wheir) Drover.
She graduated from the Berlin High School with the class of 1949.
She married William Witte on Aug. 26, 1961, at Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Berlin.
Carrie is a member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin and the Ladies Council of Catholic Women of the Parish and was a promoter of the miraculous medal and was very involved with other Parish activities when help was needed.
She worked for the Berlin Journal Newspapers for 40+ years and in 1991 began her "retirement" career at Wal-Mart in Berlin.
She enjoyed her job, her flower gardens, being with her family and the PACKERS!
Carrie is survived by her beloved husband, William (Bill) of Berlin; son, Michael and his wife, Barb and two grandchildren, Lyle and Rebekah Witte of Green Bay; and daughter Michele and her husband, Michael Olson of Neshkoro; a special cousin, Dick Skwierawski (Gayle Snyder) of Hazelhurst, Wis.; nieces and nephews, Sister Lisa Marie Drover of Washington, DC; Judy Mc Gregor of Cochrane, Wis.; Lisa (Kent) Simnitt of San Antonio, Texas; Tom (Terri) Drover of Waukesha, Wis.; and also Dougla, Kevin and Michael Drover of California; brother-in-law, Lyle C. Witte of St. Joseph, Mich.; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, James (Jack) in 1971, Gordon in 1991, and Donald in 2003.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 3, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin, with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis Celebrant and the Rev. Tim Lenchak S.V.D. as Con-celebrant and burial will follow at the Saint Michael's Catholic Cemetery of Berlin.
Immediately following the services at the cemetery all are invited to the Berlin V.F.W
. for fellowship and a luncheon with the family.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Carrie on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin, with a Parish Rosary to be recited at 7:45 p.m. and may also visit at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m., before we leave for the services at the church. In respect to Carrie the 4th. Degree Knights of Columbus Honor Guard will be present.
