Blozinski, Catherine D.
Catherine D. Blozinski, 55, Green Bay resident, ever so quietly slipped away from us late Sunday evening July 7, 2013. Her earthly journey ended with her loving husband and faithful dog at her bedside. As we tearfully let her go, we know that loved ones who passed before her were at Heaven's door to greet her.
Cathy was born on May 29, 1958, the youngest child of Al and Mary Ann Skaleski. She attended St. Philips and graduated from St. Joseph Academy. Cathy then attended NWTC and graduated with an accounting degree. She worked for various businesses in the area.
Cathy met the love of her life, Rick Blozinski and they shared 35 years together. They both had a love of dogs and Cathy was never without one for long. As one would pass away, she'd always say "no more" but after a few weeks, she had a new set of paw prints on her heart and in her home.
Cathy had so many talents and showed them at many craft shows in the area, always looking for new things to create and give as gifts. Her passion was always sewing; she could look at something and recreate it in no time at all. Many homeless shelters and charities were benefited by her talents and generosity. She warmed many hearts with her mittens, hats and patchwork quilts that she donated. She was also a whiz on the computer, willing to teach and lend a hand when needed.
Cathy loved to travel and talked frequently about past trips and future ones. Although her body was just too tired to fulfill her dreams, we know with dignity and peace in her heart, she is now watching over us.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Rick and their faithful dog, Cati; sisters, Mary Jane (Joe) Miller; and their children, Ana (Todd) Koehler, Gina (special friend, Kurt Johnson) Miller, Jolene (Jim) Jansen, Daryl (Sherry) Miller; Therese (John) Baker; and their children, Angela and Jonathan Baker; brother, William (Sue) Skaleski; and their children, Lisa (Dave) Thill, Scott (Bridget) Skaleski, Sara (Kevin) Walloch; also survived by Rick's brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Mary Ann Skaleski; stepmother, Ivy Skaleski; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Julia Blozinski.
