David Roubal(1933 - 2013)

Roubal, David

David Roubal, Green Bay, died Thursday, October 10, 2013, three days after his 80th birthday. It was a beautiful sunny day - his favorite.

He was a great man. Kind, generous, compassionate and genuine, David made friends easily and won people over with his honesty and smile. David served his country in the Army and was a proud Korean War Veteran who always made sure to fly the flag with respect. He enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, watching the Packers on Sundays and walking his dog, Casey. David was a musician at heart (a drummer) and a fan of the greats; Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, and Etta James.

He adored his wife Marilyn; together they recently celebrated 43 years of marriage.

David is survived by his wife, Marilyn (McAlpin). He was proud of his girls - daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Fogarty and Michelle (Nathan) Arrowood; and his grandson, Desmond. David is further survived by his brother, John (Martha) Roubal; sister-in-law, Deborah (Bob) Reblin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Edna Roubal; and Marilyn's parents, Alma Rowland and Clyde McAlpin.
