Dorothy M. Meeboer, 84, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
Dorothy was born on October 4, 1928 to the late Peter and Leona Pembroke. She married Gerald Meeboer on November 13, 1946. He proceded her in death.
Dorothy worked as a hostess and waitress at the Wally Spot Supper Club downtown and at the new Spot on Main St. She owned and operated DORT Industries. Dorothy was one of the first members of the Concerned Hearts Club after having open heart surgery at the age of 39 years old. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She was known as "the hostess with the mostest". Dorothy dearly loved going to the cottage in Door County with her family.
Dorothy is survived by daughter, Terry Toebe, Green Bay; Son, Dan (Jill) Meeboer, Arizona; grandchildren; Joshua (Rachel) Toebe; Jason (Laurie) Toebe; Justin Meeboer; Nathan (Dani) Meeboer; Garret Meeboer; great grandchildren; Justin and Braxton Toebe; Skylar and Jadyn Toebe.
Dorothy was preceded in death by husband, Gerald; mother and father; 1 sister, Rosella Kelly; 1 brother, Peter Pembroke; 1 son-in-law, Marty Toebe.
