Le Mieux, Elaine R. (Tilkens)

Elaine R. (Tilkens) Le Mieux, 90, Green Bay, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, with her family at her side. Born on June 23, 1922, in Green Bay she is the daughter of the late Agnes (Uphill) and Peter Tilkens. Elaine attended St. Peter and Paul Grade School and graduated from East High School in 1940. She worked at Kraft Cheese, and many years later at Westphals. Most of her years were spent, however, as a homemaker, loving wife, and wonderful mother to her three children. Elaine married James H. Le Mieux at St Peter and Paul Catholic Church on June 7, 1944. They celebrated 68 loving years together. Elaine loved to cook and bake; she was an excellent baker and was especially fond of making pies, breads, rolls, coffee cakes, and cookies.

Elaine is survived by her husband, James. She was a loving mother to, Mary J. (Roy) Johnson, Patti A. (Ed) Stackman, and Joseph F. Le Mieux, who preceded her in death in 2000. Elaine was very proud of her six grandchildren, Eric D. (Sarah) Johnson, Brad M. (Heather) Johnson, Kristin M. (Ryan) Menard, Joseph J. Le Mieux, Teddy J. Stackman, and Taylor E. Stackman. She was blessed with six great grandchildren, Kayla M. Johnson, Reagan F. Johnson, Parker J. Johnson, Emery Elaine Menard, Trenton J. Le Mieux, and Marlow C. Le Mieux. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Kathleen Le Mieux, step sister-in-law Ruth Tilkens, and the many nieces and nephews who were so good and loving to her over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother, Philomene, who raised her along with her Dad, Peter. Also, she was preceded in death by her brother Merlin; one son, Joseph; stepmother, Dorothy Tilkens; brother-in-laws, Francis Le Mieux, and John (Ruth) Le Mieux; step brothers, Harold Tilkens, and Donald (Evelyn) Tilkens; step sister, Joyce Madigan.

Elaine was a charter member of St. Bernard Catholic Church where her funeral will be held. Visitation at St Bernard Catholic Church Monday, November 5, from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM with the Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Entombment at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. MALCORE (East) Funeral Home is assisting the family.

The family would like to thank Unity Palliative Care and Unity Hospice for all their care, help, and compassion especially Mercedes, their wonderful volunteer and friend. We also extend our thanks to Century Ridge Assisted Living and all the wonderful care givers there who were so good to our family. Also a special thanks to Dr. Violetta Minca and her staff. We would especially like to thank Dr. Jeremy Green and Sherry who cared for and were so patient with Mom for so many years.
