Elsevier, Elizabeth "Betsy'

Elizabeth "Betsy" Elsevier, 42, Kingsport, passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 13, 2013, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born in Oak Lawn, Ill., grew up in Green Bay, Wis., was a former resident of Kokomo, Indiana; Freising, Germany; Missouri City, Texas, and had been a resident of Kingsport since 2008.

Elizabeth graduated from Michigan Tech with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. She was a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed photography.

She was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents.

Surviving are her loving husband of 13 years, Brian E. Elsevier, of the home; three daughters, Hallie, Eva and Eliza of the home; parents, Raymond Teresinski and wife, Margaret and Susan Kemps and husband, Don; her sister, Christine Davidson and husband, Kevin; mother and father-in-law, Joyce Flowers and husband, Don; step-siblings, Todd Plahmer and wife, Lucy, Chad Plahmer and wife, Stacy, Joe Plahmer and wife, Jessica, Peter Kemps and wife, Kelly, Erik Kemps and wife, Laura, Willy Kemps and wife, Jen and Amy Cloutier and husband, John; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home 520 Watauga St., Kingsport. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Salley officiating. The service may be viewed simultaneously by visiting www.cartertrent.com.
