On February 1, 1920, Florence M. Steckart was welcomed into this world by her parents, William and Mary (Veltus) Steckart and sister, Mary Catherine, and on October 23, 2012 they welcomed her into their heavenly home.

Florence lived in De Pere all her life, attending St. Francis grade school and East De Pere High School. After graduation she worked in a family business at Merchants Grocers and retired from Milprint, where she was a member of the Quarterly Club. Florence enjoyed her flower garden, which was also appreciated by her neighbors and others who passed by. Thursday card club with Verna, Jo, Blanch, Grace and Marilyn was a highlight of the week. Florence was a life-long member of St. Francis Parish and a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

Florence will be sadly missed by Joanie, Jolie, Jillisa, John, Laurie, Chloe, Sydney, J.V. and other cousins and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, from 3:30pm until the hour of Mass on Friday, November 9, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00pm. Interment in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
