Gary Boucher

Boucher, Gary

Gary Lee Boucher, 61, Green Bay resident, passed away on October 4, 2012, with his family by his side after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Gary had made goals he wished to achieve with his last goal of attending the Packer game on September 30th. With the strength from God and his family, he was able to complete that goal, collapsing at the end of the game end saying, "We did it!"

Gary was born in Green Bay, WI, to Edward and Eleanora (Rusch) Boucher on October 15, 1950. He graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1969 and shortly after graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force. He remained in the Air Force for 4 years only to come back to Green Bay in 1973 and begin his 38year career at Fort Howard Paper Company. Gary retired from the now Georgia Pacific in October 2011.

Gary's best friend and companion for the past 8 years, Jack, his 4 legged buddy and pal, will take their next journey together. Gary enjoyed family gatherings, helping out his kids around their homes, watching his grandkids grow up, traveling and his avid love of the Packers.

Gary is survived by his children AnnMarie (Boucher) Lemke, Green Bay, Corey (Angelyn) Boucher, Charlotte, NC, and Tina (Boucher) (Tim) Hodek of Green Bay. (9) Grandchildren: Kelsey, Alexander & Tyler Lemke, Austin, Lukas & Addison Boucher, Jackson, Andrew & Nicholas Hodek.

Gary is further survived by his brothers Edward (Joan) Boucher, Green Bay, George (Betty) Boucher, Green Bay, and sister Suzanne (Boucher) (Gary) Lied, Michigan City, IN, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins and his "Crew" at The Mill.

Gary is preceded in death by his father, Edward Boucher, his mother, Eleanora Boucher (Rusch), one sister, Rodeen (Boucher) Bishop.

The family wishes to thank the physicians and staff at The Bellin Cancer Team along but most especially Unity Hospice for the wonderful care provided during his last days: Cathy, Lizzie, Jon, Jean and all others we failed to mention by name.

A memorial gathering is planned for Tuesday, October 9th from 5pm-7pm with a service immediately following at Calvary Lutheran Church in Green Bay. MALCORE (WEST) Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at

In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to purchase a paving brick in Gary's name at the Brown County NEW Zoo.
