Gen (Genevieve) Miller, 84, of Green Bay passed away on February 15, 2013 at home with her family by her side. Gen was born April 25, 1928 in Kerkoven, Minnesota. She was the daughter of the now late Bill and Agnes (Leaf) Dickson. She attended and graduated from Willmar High School. Upon completing high school, Gen moved to Lafayette, Indiana to work at Home Hospital. It was there that she met a young man, Lee Miller, who worked delivering flowers while he attended Purdue University
. Gen and Lee were married on August 25, 1951 in Willmar, Minnesota and the couple enjoyed 46 years together. Gen worked hard to provide a comfortable home and raise their children. Gen was also an active grandmother hosting many sleepovers and attending sporting events. She enjoyed keeping in touch with all of her family through phone calls and countless cards and letters, which are treasured memories of her support and encouragement. She took great pride in her family! She was ecstatic to finally have become a Great Gram in the past year. Another interest of Gen's was traveling. Gen and Lee took many trips to interesting places, always making sure to send postcards to family back home. After Lee past away, Gen continued to travel with friends and grandchildren, always excited to see new sites. Gen also enjoyed knitting and sewing, playing cards, going to the cottage, relaxing in Florida, and spending time with family and friends. In her later years, she was also an active member of the Red Hat Ladies at Bellevue Retirement Community.
Gen is survived by her children Debbie Lepak, Jeff Miller, and Wendy (Dennis) Blasczyk; her grandchildren, Jessica Lepak, Sarah (Chad) Peterson, John Lepak, Katie Blasczyk, Grant Blasczyk, and Lauren Blasczyk; her great-grandson Micah; her brother Gerald Dickson; and her sister-in-law Virginia Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Miller, her sister-in-law, Frances Dickson, and her granddaughter Baby Lepak.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the Chapel at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum 2121 Riverside Drive.
