Henry "Hank" Westberg

Henry "Hank" H. Westberg, 84, of Pound passed away after a brief illness Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born to the late Axel, Sr. and Theresa (Beetsma) Westberg April 2, 1929 in Chicago. Hank served in the United Sates Army in the Korean Conflict from 1951 - 1952. He married Carol Pilon February 12, 1955 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Niagara. He worked as a cabinet maker for many years. Hank enjoyed deer hunting, gardening and loved to spend time with his family. Surviving are his wife Carol, three sons, Joseph (Mary) Westberg, Peshtigo; Ken Westberg, Coleman; Dean Westberg, Pound; four grandchildren, Bob (Christina) Westberg, Miriah (Fiancé Randy) Westberg, Seth Westberg, Alisha Westberg, great-granddaughter Kaylee, one brother Ronald (Kathleen) Westberg, MN and one sister Katherine Keenen, CA. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Eleanor Ruby and Viola Christensen, one brother Bror "Al" Axel Westberg, Jr. and daughter-in-law Brenda Westberg. Relatives and friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman Saturday, August 3rd from 9 A.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 11 A.M. with Pastor Nick Johannes officiating. Military rites will be given by the Coleman American Legion at the funeral home. Henry will be placed to rest at Amberg Cemetery.
