Doell, J. Roseann (Sawyer)
J. Roseann (Sawyer) Doell, 78, Green Bay, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was born September 14, 1935, in Sturgeon Bay to Harold and Fern (Schumacher) Sawyer.
Roseann graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1953. On October 2, 1954, she married Glen A. Doell at Bay View Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Roseann and Glen were married 55 years before Glen passed away on September 12, 2010. She worked for Dr. W. Sheets in Sturgeon Bay until 1965, when she and Glen and their two daughters moved to Green Bay. Roseann held various jobs, but she enjoyed working with her husband the most at ABC Refrigeration, Plumbing and Heating, which they started in 1976 and ran for 18 years until their retirement in 1994.
Roseann was a very loving, family oriented wife, mother and grandmother, always ready to listen, talk, wipe away tears and give advice. She was a member of Christ the King Church in Howard, a member of the women's group CTK, a former member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Green Bay (serving on it's Sewing Committee). Roseann also volunteered for the Red Cross and belonged to the Door County Historical Society. She liked to garden and cook, and was very good at both. Roseann enjoyed traveling with Glen. They visited most of the lower 48 states and Alaska. She also traveled to Hawaii, Florida, Arizona and Mexico with her best friends: Pat, Beverly, Kay and Harriet. They also enjoyed many shopping trips and lunches together.
Roseann is survived by her two daughters, Connie Fish and Terri (Peter) Tilkens; grandchildren, Jim Fish, Glen (Laura) Fish, Daniel Fish, Sara Fish, Hunter Tilkens and Jordan Tilkens; stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashley, Dale, Robbie, Cassie, Matthew, Jonathan and A.J.; stepsister, Ruthann Koss; stepbrother, Rick Sawyer; brother-in-law, Myron (Germaine) Doell; and sister-in-law, Virgil Doell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; parents, Harold Sawyer and Fern Anderson; stepfather, Randolph Anderson; stepmother, Yvonne Sawyer; Glen's parents, Adolph and Mabel Doell; and a brother-in-law, Orville Doell.
