Jene R. Schoenike, 73, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was born January 26, 1941, in Clintonville to the late John and Viola (Leider) Schoenike. In 1986, he was united in marriage to Sue Giesler. Jene joined the U.S. Army Corps of engineers from 1963-1965. He was a graduate from Clintonville High School and Fox Valley Technical College. Jene worked in the machinery industrial sales and plastic injection molding industry. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, deer hunting, and his cottage in High Falls, WI.

Jene is survived by his wife, Sue; three children, Jena (Gary) Chenkin, of Hampton, VA, Karen (Joel) Gotz, of Chanhassen, MN, and Craig (Rachel) Giesler, of Wrightstown, WI. Also surviving are his five grandchildren, and two brothers, Jerry (Julie) Schoenike and Jack (Shirley) Schoenike, of Clintonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his in-laws, Ralph and Doris Van Oss.

Friends and family are encouraged to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 9:00am until 11:00am when a funeral service will be held.
