Lemma, Joan M.

Joan M. Lemma, 78, Green Bay, died Thursday, April 17, 2014. She was born February 14, 1936, in Wausau to Bernard and Adeline (Severson) Knipple. On February 13, 1965, she married Verne Lemma.

Later in life, Joan was employed at Fleet Farm West as a cashier and made many wonderful friends. She retired after 16 years. Joan was an avid Brewers and Packers fan and was proud that she attended both a World Series and a Super Bowl. She lovingly raised dachshunds. Joan was thankful for her neighbors on North Fisk Street where she spent 46 years. Mostly, Joan loved any time she could spend with her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by four children, Jane and Richard Brunette, Steven and Julie Lemma, Lisa and James Conard, Christine and Peter Baierl; ten grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Ellie, James, Peter, Brandt, Elizabeth, Ella, Griffin, Savannah; and a brother, Bernard (Gerri) Knipple.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Verne; a step-father, Frank Duskey; and an infant twin sister, Jean.
