Lee W. Krueger, 80, Suamico, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013. He was born January 23, 1933, in Antigo to Norman and Ethel (Turecek) Krueger. After his father's death when he was 3, Ethel married Lee's stepfather, Al Neerdaels. Lee graduated from Wittenberg High School in 1951, and immediately joined the U.S. Air Force. He was discharged from his military service in 1955. In 1956, he married Karla Carley.

Lee served a 5 year plumbing apprenticeship in Shawano from 1957 to 1962. The family later moved to Green Bay where he joined the Local #298 (currently the #400). He was a proud union member for 51 years.

Lee joined Pilgrim Lutheran Church in 1962, and his faith was very important to him. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and family times spent at Shawano Lake. In his later years, he enjoyed tinkering on his computer and going to his grandchildren's events.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Karla; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Kirk McClure, Tami and Kevin Pieschek, Cindy and Bill Webb; one son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Kim Krueger, all of the Suamico area; his grandchildren, Cassie (Chad), Nick, Crysta, Cody, Kendyl, Josh (Nicole), Tera, Kortney, Karlee and Kaden; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Jase, Emma, Grayce and Paige; a brother, Bill (Betty) Krueger, Sun City West, AZ; a brother-in-law, Bob (Nancy) Carley, Bowler; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Lindsay and Jessy; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Krueger and Mary Carley; and his parents.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Drive. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Scott Malme officiating.
