LeMeryl Kozlowski, 85, formerly of Forest Junction and Abrams, died Monday morning, February 17, 2014, at Brewster Village in Appleton. The daughter of John and Laura (Nicholas) Boettcher was born June 2, 1928, and grew up in the town of Morgan. In 1946, she married Rueben Stebane. The couple raised their five children in Forest Junction. Rueben died in 1976. In 1985, she married Ray Isable. He preceded her in death in 1991. She later married Ervin Kozlowski and he preceded her in death in 2002.
LeMeryl was a well-known cook at many area restaurants and supper clubs, and retired from the Highway Restaurant in Abrams. She was an avid card player and loved playing bingo. She enjoyed going to Pulaski Polka Days and dancing the polka. LeMeryl also enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Dennis (Judy) Stebane, Holland; Ed Stebane, Menasha; and Kevin (Kim) Stebane, Brillion; 10 grandchildren: Scott, Tracey, and Travis Stebane, Jeff Stebane, Cheryl (Mark) Klein, Kay (Jerry) Bartlein, Shaun Stebane, and Derek (Amanda) Stebane, Paige (Nikolas) Marcks and Preston Stebane; eight great-grandchildren: Mikayla and Cody, Alexandra, Cadence, Griffin, Parker, Dakota, and Josephine; one sister: Elaine Birr, Morgan; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerome Stebane, and a daughter, Barbara Stebane; two sisters and three brothers-in-law: Anita (Walter) Birr, Verness (Louis) Grych, and Glen Birr.
Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday. The visitation continues at Zion United Methodist Church, Hwy. 10 and Church St., Forest Junction, at 10:00 a.m. Friday. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church, Rev. Becky Kindschi officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in Forest Home Cemetery.
