Linda Schwendler, 73, Ashwaubenon, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at her home. She was born in Black Creek, Wisconsin on July 30, 1939 to the late Linder and Ruby (Iverson) Peterson. Linda married Carl Schwendler on December 22, 1962 in Black Creek.
Linda loved to plan and organize trips. She especially liked going to Kentucky for the horse races and up North to kayak and fish. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed get- togethers with the family at Christmas and other holidays. The menu was meticulous and everyone loved her cooking. She made many great memories spending time with the Spencer Street Girls. Linda liked to cross-stich and garden. She assisted in the planning of the retired high school teachers
Christmas party. The casino was occasionally known to spark her interest. Linda enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends and was an avid Packer fan. She loved making pizza burgers for the wrestlers. Linda enjoyed planning the old neighbor's annual get-together and round robin.
Surviving are her loving husband of 50 years, Carl; her daughter and son -in-law, Deanne (Eric) Zwart of Green Bay; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl (Karen) Carter-Schwendler of Redmond, Washington; two grandchildren, Zak and Zoe Carter-Schwendler; two step-grandchildren, Jack and Thomas Zwart; three sisters, Beverly Peterson and special friend, Jim; Carol (Bob) Hathaway, Jenelle (Jim) Rusch; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, March 27 at First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe Street, from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. David Kalas officiating.
