Karcz, Lorraine M. "Lori"

Lorraine M. "Lori" Karcz, 69, DeForest, died peacefully Friday, March 28, 2014, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. The daughter of Anton and Hattie (Rudnick) Karcz was born December 30, 1944, in Green Bay. She was a 1963 graduate of Pulaski High School.

Lorraine was employed with Central Wisconsin Center (Central Colony) in Madison for 32 ½ years until her retirement in 2000. Following her retirement, she relocated to Fayetteville, Arkansas and, in 2006, moved back to Madison. Lorraine greatly enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, and gambling. She loved playing board games and cards, especially Sheepshead and cribbage.

Survivors include two brothers: Richard "Ike" (Marcella) Karcz, Pulaski; and Jerald Karcz, Whitehall; one sister-in-law, Marlene Karcz, Pulaski; nieces and nephews: Jacqueline Tobin, Hampton, Virginia; William Karcz, Eau Claire; Kelly (Timothy) Asuma, Oshkosh; Patrick T. Karcz, Pulaski; Mark (Teri) Karcz, Pulaski; Richard Karcz, Jr., Pulcifer; Steven L. Karcz, Pulaski; Stephanie Karcz, Krakow; and Antoinette (Troy) Eisner, Angelica; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her brother, Anton Karcz.

Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski Street, Pulaski, on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, Fr. Bob Konkol, O.F.M., officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the physicians and staff of UW Hospital in Madison and Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah, as well as the staff of Affinity Hospice in Oshkosh, Bethel Home in Oshkosh, and the volunteers with Bethel Home's Sojourners Ministry.
