Bertrand, Mark J.
Mark J. Bertrand, 53, of Sturgeon Bay, lost his battle with cancer Monday morning, December 16, 2013.
He was born March 17, 1960 the son of Richard and Imelda "Joan" (Schott) Bertrand. After graduating from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 1978, he served his country with the U.S. Army from 1979-1982 overseas, including Germany.
Mark worked at Zeke's Farm, Soren's Valhalla Orchards, Peninsula Transfer, PBI, and Bay Ship.
He loved motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, and just being a kid. Mark will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his soul mate and love of his life, Brenda Bertrand; three daughters, Sarah (Steve) Mumme, Stacy (Bart Veeser) Bertrand, Shannon (Alex) Sagady; four grandchildren; his parents, Richard and Joan Bertrand; two sisters, Diane Cornish, Jane LeCloux; brothers, Dale and Jill Bertrand, Michael and Tracy Bertrand, Paul Bertrand; two brothers-in-law, Dan Kostichka and David Wenninger; nieces, nephews and many other dear family members and friends.
Mark will be met by his sisters, Jean Kostichka and Karen Wenninger; and his grandparents, Theodore and Florence (Laundry) Schott, and Henry and Laura (DeBeck) Bertrand, who preceded him in death.
Funeral services with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Tanum-Forest Ev. Lutheran Church (at 6102 County Road OO, Sturgeon Bay), with Rev. Philip Peterson officiating.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday evening at Huehns Funeral Home 1414 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay and at the church Friday from 10:00 until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. A devotion will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at Huehns Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Natalie Callendar and the infusion clinic team at the VA Clinic, Madison, Wisconsin.
