Suelflohn, Mark R.

Mark R. Suelflohn, 53, Green Bay resident, died unexpectedly on Friday morning, January 18, 2013 after complications from a stroke. He was born on November 22, 1959 in Green Bay to Roger and Marilyn (Pamperin) Suelflohn. Mark was a graduate of Bay Port high school and then received his certification in Taxidermy. He owned and operated Mark's Trophy Taxidermy in Green Bay. On October 10, 1981 he married Mary Mangan at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howard. Mark enjoyed deep sea fishing, barbecuing and going to the casino. He liked watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. Mark was known to his friends as being an amateur meteorologist and also liked bird watching. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Green Bay.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary; two sons, Sean and Trevor; his dog, Snuggles; mother, Marilyn; brother, John (Chris); sister, Joy Hurley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob (Sue) Mangan; Jerry Hurley; and his aunts, uncles, one niece, two nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger; sister, Judy; infant niece, Mary; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilmer and Eulalia Mangan; maternal grandparents, Archie and Arleen Pamperin; paternal grandfather, Clarence Suelflohn; paternal grandmother, Esther (Edwin) Rusch; aunt, Shirley House; uncle, Calvin Pamperin.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Monday. Visitation will continue on Tuesday after 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, until the time of Mass. Memorial Mass 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.

The family would like to thank all Bellin Hospital employees who supported Mark, Mary and their family during this time. Also a special thank you to all of our wonderful friends for their care and compassion.
