Nowak, Mary Elizabeth

Mary Elizabeth Nowak, of Appleton, died peacefully on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Appleton Health Care Center just two days shy of her 100th birthday. She was born in Auburn, IL on December 29, 1912 to the late "Chili" John and Mary (Jones) Isaac. On September 16, 1935, she was united in marriage to Frank John Nowak in Green Bay. She enjoyed hunting, cooking, and painting. Elizabeth was a devout Christian and a longtime member at the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Susan (Thomas) Haase, Appleton and Janice Beaty, Costa Mesa, CA; 4 sons: Ronald Nowak, Murrieta, CA, Greg (Sandra) Nowak, Murrieta, CA, David (Alexis) Nowak, Fountain Hills, AZ, and Kurt (Terry) Nowak, Appleton. She is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, and five sisters.

A Memorial Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oakridge Rd. Neenah. Friends may visit directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Appleton Health Care Center, Kindred Hearts of Greenville, and Affinity Hospice for the compassionate care shown to Elizabeth.
