Mary A. (Butterfield) Snodgrass, age 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 after a valiant battle with cancer. Mary was born in Illinois, grew up in New Auburn, WI and lived most of her adult life in Kewaunee, WI.
Mary worked tirelessly as a homemaker, creating a loving home for her family and touching the lives of all who knew her. She worked for a number of years in the deli at the Kewaunee Piggly Wiggly where she enjoyed getting to know the many people she greeted and waited on. Mary is probably best known and loved for her kind heart, sympathetic ear and hot cup of coffee for everyone who walked through her door.
Survivors include her two children: son Robert Snodgrass II and friend Rustina Hovermale and daughter Kimberly and husband Joel Luedtke; eight Grandchildren: Cole, Jesse, and Montana Snodgrass; Joel, Evan and Seth Luedtke; Evin McGinnis and Heather Klein, surviving brothers; Ralph and Roger Butterfield, sisters Lois Fedie and Ella Waterhouse, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous close friends, many who called her "mom or grandma".

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 18 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee, WI. Visitation continues on Saturday from noon until time of services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Howard Batt officiating. Burial will be at the New Auburn Cemetery on Monday, April 21 at 3:00 p.m.
