Michael Blasier(1955 - 2012)

Michael Robert Blasier, 56, Algoma, passed away with his family at his side at Bellin Hospital on March 15, 2012, after a five year battle with cancer. He was born on June 14, 1955, in Algoma, to Robert and LouAnn (Pagels) Blasier. On Oct. 6, 1973, he married his high school sweetheart, Debra Lischka, in Kewaunee. Mike worked as a welder at J.W. Industries for many years. He was a wonderful man, loving husband, and great father. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and especially spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Debra; three sons, Jonathan (Janel) Blasier, Forestville; Jason (Angela) Blasier, New Franken; Matthew (Tricia) Blasier, Luxemburg; seven grandchildren, Hunter and Emily, Cayden, Jacob, and Levi, Cole and Caleigh; parents, Robert and LouAnn Blasier, Algoma; parents-in-law, Roger and Audrey Lischka, Green Bay; brothers, sisters, aunts, and uncles. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents; and one brother, Chris Blasier.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at St. Peter & St. Hubert Church in Lincoln with Rev. Robert Konkol O.F.M. and Deacon Paul Zenesfski officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of services.
