Michael Enerson Jones, age 75, Howard, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 25, 1938, to the late Martin and Elinore (Enerson) Jones in Madison, Wisconsin. On August 24, 1968, he married Diane Peterson in Superior, Wisconsin. Michael was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War serving five years in the U. S. Navy. After serving his country with pride, he attended and graduated from the University of Superior, "Soup State". He led a very successful career in the heavy equipment field which led to many more achievements in his career and life.

Michael's pride and joy was his family. He was very involved in their lives! He was most happy spending simple and meaningful times with his grandkids. He always told us that he was the luckiest guy in the world, he had a life he loved, a wonderful wife, two beautiful children and four amazing grandchildren.

He was a terrific husband and father, a very loving grandpa and a very proud sailor who loved his country. He was happy in the woods, loved the water and all that Mother Nature had to offer.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Rebecca (Chad) Babka; grandchildren, Jake, Lauryn and Erika; son, Michael Jr. and grandson, Mikey; sister, Carmen (Jim) Knoble of Florida; brother-in-law, Charles (Joyce) Farho of Arizona/Michigan; godchild, Mary Lee (Jim) Weaver; sister and brother-in- law, Judy and Charlie West of Atlanta, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Elinore Jones and his sister, Polly Farho.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Faith Lutheran Church, 2335 South Webster Avenue, from 10:00 am until the memorial service at 12:00 noon with Rev. Joshua Errer officiating. Military honors will follow. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
