Patrick R. Van Lanen, 73, Green Bay, ended his courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 19, 2012. He was born March 17, 1939, to the late Edward and Cecilia (LeMieux) Van Lanen in Green Bay. Pat enjoyed retirement after a successful career in the floor covering business. Pat enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer, always working on that hole in one. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his 8 grandchildren, keeping track of their growth with his special measuring sticks. His faith was very important to him and he liked to spend time working on the family chapel. He was always upbeat and whistling. Pat lead a happy life!
Survivors include; his wife, Dolores; daughters, Mary Jo (Robert) Brokaw, Chanhassen, MN; Shelly (Randy) Reichardt, Appleton; son, Patrick (Lisa) Van Lanen, Denmark; grandchildren; Benjamin and Celia Brokaw, Morgan and Makenzi Reichardt, Bradley Baumgart, Jared, Justin and DJ Van Lanen; brothers, James (Barbara)Van Lanen, Two Rivers; Robert Van Lanen, Green Bay; John (Nancy) Van Lanen, Green Bay; sister, Janice Baumgart, Green Bay; Joan (Norbert) Jadin, Green Bay; mother-in-law, Laverne Hermans and a sister-in-law, Jane Van Lanen, Crivitz.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Van Lanen; niece, Karen Zellner, brother-in-law, Robert Baumgart and a nephew, Joseph Baumgart.
Friends and family may call from 4-7:30 p.m. Friday, November 23, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. There will be a sharing time at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Rd.
