Patsy Martens, 72, Village of Howard, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at a local hospital following a short illness. She was born March 1, 1940, in Menominee, MI, to Floyd and Mary (Kulick) Bellisle. Patsy attended Green Bay West High School. On September 5, 1959, she was united in marriage to Ronald Martens at St. Jude Catholic Church in Green Bay. Patsy was employed at Gold Bond Ice Cream for many years and later worked at Eileen's Candy until her retirement. Patsy loved spending time at her cottage "Up North" with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling to Alabama for the winter months. Patsy liked bowling, fishing, knitting, crocheting, going to crafts shows, and chatting with the girls before work.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald; four children and their spouses, Kathy and Bob Wosnig, Karen and Mark Poirier, Kim Martens and her fiancé, Rick Zwaschka, Kevin Martens; eight grandchildren, Tyler and Brianna Wosnig, Amanda (Ben) Burmeister, Matthew Poirier, Brittney and Heidi King, Justin and Maggie Martens; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd Jr. and Mary Bellisle, Richard and Marilyn Bellisle, Jack and Sue Bellisle, Tom and Karen Bellisle; three sisters-in-law and their spouses, Judy Olson, Carol and Ken Pamperin, Sandy and Mike Schmidt; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald Jr.; a grandson, Michael John Poirier; a sister, Joan Rousseau; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Rita Martens.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 2. Friends may also call at the funeral home from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 3. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Lathan Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
