Boehm, Richard F.

Richard F. Boehm, 87, Green Bay resident, passed away on October 3, 2012. He was born on July 9, 1925 in Green Bay to the late William and Lucy (Watermolen) Boehm. On May 20, 1950, he married Laverne Rusch at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2003. Richard was a 1943 graduate of East High School. He served his country in the Army-Air Force from 1943 to 1946. Richard was employed at Wisconsin Public Service for 38 years. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and never asked for anything in return.

He is survived by his six children, Tom Boehm, Patty (Tom) Mineau, Jeanne (Bruce) Vogel, Kathy (Darrell) Johnson, Dan Boehm and Linda Zegers; eight grandchildren, Zach and Jenna Mineau, Paul and Sara Vogel, Patrick Johnson and Laura (Andrew) Mulloy, Josh and Nick Boehm; 2 great grandchildren, Carter Jansen and Evelyn Dunn; sister, Judy Simons; step mother, Irene Boehm; sisters-in-law, Martha Boehm, Dana Boehm and Carol Boehm; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Francis, James, Ronald and William, Jr.; sisters, Marie (Bob) Bierke and Carol Hannon.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue on Monday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev.
