Rodney L. "Rod" Westerfeld, 74, Green Bay, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 1, 2012. He was born on January 4, 1938 in Green Bay to the late Gilbert and Gertrude (Kroening) Westerfeld. Rodney was in the Army Reserves for eight years. He married Judith A. Houren on June 30, 1962 in Hales Corners, Wisconsin.

He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. Rodney was a lifetime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served on various committees. He also served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army for 41 years.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Judy; two sons, Scott Westerfeld and Joel (Tammy) Westerfeld, and a granddaughter, Morgan Westerfeld; a sister and brother-in-law, Valera (Robert) Valesano. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 S. Oneida Street, from 2:00 pm until the memorial service at 6:00 pm with Rev. Paul Pett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Rodney's name to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army of Brown County. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
