Erdmann, Roger " Pudge" L.
Roger "Pudge" L. Erdmann, age 78 of Clintonville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.
"Pudge" was born on August 23, 1935 in Shawano, the son of the late Carlton and Elda (Koeller) Erdmann. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1953 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps
from January 20, 1954 until his discharge on January 19, 1957. On May 10, 1958, Pudge was united in marriage to Josephine "Joie" Kroll at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. The couple has lived in Clintonville all of their married life. Pudge worked as a lineman for Clintonville Utilities for several years until retirement in 1996. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville where he had served on the Cemetery Board. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. In earlier years, he played ball with the Clintonville A's. Pudge was detail-oriented and enjoyed building projects such as the cabin called, "Joie & Pudge's Palace in the Pines". He also enjoyed deer hunting, telling jokes (especially one liner's) and spending time with family.

grandchildren: Brittany & Brandon Erdmann, Matthew Kaphingst, Victoria & Dan Hanna and Elizabeth & Emily Erdmann, His sister: Diana (Paul E.) Gretzinger,
Clintonville, His sisters-in-law: Margaret (Mike) Peters, Combined Locks & Connie (Rick) Marthaler, Peshtigo
Nieces and nephews: Stephanie (Tim) Raatz, Paul (Debbie) Peters, Marcus Peters, Daphne (Boyd) Hartjes, Becky (Joe) DeGroot, Tim Marthaler, Brodie (Laura) Marthaler, Domini (Nic) Swartz, Paul C. Gretzinger, Gina Gretzinger, Dan (Linda) Gretzinger and Pete (Keely) Gretzinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Donald as a child.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Larry Canavera and Parish Director, Lincoln Wood officiating. Interment will be in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 P.M. Monday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville and after 10 A.M. Tuesday at the church until the time of the service.
A Parish Prayer service will be held 7:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be provided at the Cemetery by the American Legion Post #63 and the V.F.W
. Post #664 of Clintonville.
