Russell Delvaux

Delvaux, Russell J.

Russell J. Delvaux, 77, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at a local hospital. Born on February 25, 1935, in Champion, he is the son of the late George and Mayme (Vandenhouten) Delvaux. Russell graduated from East High School class of 1953. He then served in the Navy for two years. Russell married the former Joyce Strebel on October 5, 1963, at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement. He worked at Lindquist Machine and Tool and Van's Sheet Metal/Gremar for 40 years before retiring in 1997. Russell volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He enjoyed metal working, woodworking projects, and traveling. Russell was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Delvaux; two children, Michael Delvaux of De Pere, and Leanne (Ken) Welker of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Kalyn, Ryan, and Zoie Delvaux, Carolyn, Lauren, and Allison Welker; one sister, Sister Renee Delvaux; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Marge) Strebel, and Norman (Barb) Strebel; many other relatives and friends.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation at MALCORE (WEST) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., Sunday from 3 PM until the time of Parish Wake Service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM with the Rev. Paul DeMuth officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice and St. Vincent Hospital.
