Sohrweide, Shirley A.
Shirley A. Sohrweide, 80, of Oconto, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay. Shirley was born May 7, 1932, in Oconto, to the late Frank and Hazel (Minette) Bishop. She married Orlando "Lon" Sohrweide on April 25, 1953. Shirley was a member of the Oconto United Methodist Church and served her church as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. Shirley also served as a den mother for the cub scouts. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Shirley is survived by her husband, "Lon" Sohrweide, Oconto; daughter, Brenda (fiance, Dan Marquardt) Beauleau, Oconto; two sons, Lon (Mary) Sohrweide, Oconto; Brian (Tracey) Sohrweide, Oconto; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Sohrweide, Benjamin (Andrea) Sohrweide, David (Kelsey) Sohrweide, Joseph (Angela) Beauleau, Jonathan Beauleau, Ellen Sohrweide, Maggie Sohrweide, and nine great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ruthie, Claire, Ethan, Addie, Teddy, James, Cordelia and Trenton. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ken, Harvey, Raymond and Bob Bishop; and three sisters, Bernice DiMaggio, Norma Koch and Dorothy Bauer.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the United Methodist Church, Oconto, from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. Memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Gerhardt Miller officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
