Jan, we are surely sorry to hear of Lary's passing. I've known Lary from grade school through high school. We both taught school at Southern Door and Lux-Casco during the same years. We also worked together one summer at the Luxemburg Manufacturing. Of course, our last memories took place during our times with the ROMEO club.

The biggest impact Lary had on Alice and me was when he helped us with adoption procedures in 1967.

I consider Lary Swoboda to have been the best teacher I had while a student at LC. He had a great way of explaining concepts and showed a deep respect for his students. As an assemblyman, he always took time to respond to and help his constituents. He was truly a great man.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Larry. I've known Larry all of my life. I have nothing but respect for a life spent helping so many people, as an educator, political leader, etc.,as well as a supportive friend. He attended so many of my performances over the years and I sincerely appreciated his support and friendship. But that is what Larry was about befriending and helping others. I will keep Larry in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Family of Lary Swoboda: You have my deepest sympathy. Lary was my freshman English teacher at Southern Door in 1965-66 and I will always remember him for his ready wit and his ability to coax the best from his students. Though I never saw him again after that year, he always served as my model of what a teacher should be. As I went on to teach for the last 37 years, I regret that I never got the chance to thank him properly. So, the best I can offer is "Thank you, Lary. You set one heck of a standard!" Rest in peace.

Lary was a wonderful example to all of us of what one person can do in a community, for students, for his state, and country. He was always interested in what you were doing, reading, and interests. As my mother always said when Lary was in Madison, "With Lary and Jan, you get two hard workers for one vote". We will miss this kind, smart man.

Jan, I am so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Lary. He was my Civics teacher at LC Middle school. I grew to admire him for all the wonderful things he did for our community while serving in the political arena. Lary truly loved the people of this area. I am so grateful that I got to spend some time with him during the last campaign season and for the good-bye hug we shared when Pat and I left.
You should be very proud of the life the two of you had together helping others. Know that I, and many others, thank you and will always have special memories of Lary.
I hope the thousands of people whose hand he shook over the years take the time to say one quick prayer in thanks for his service.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless You, Lary. Rest in Peace.

To The Family of Larry Swoboda-- I met Larry as a senior in high School-- I attended Sevastopol and we competed in FFA speaking contests. I notice that Larry earned a PhD, and likewise I did and moved to Oklahoma in 1970. Thus, my only contact was via the media, but I realized early on and saw it continue that he was a great representative for the people of NE Wisconsin. My sympathy to you. Trent Gabert
