Boettcher, Audrey Eloise

Audrey Eloise Boettcher, 81, formerly of Marinette, was received into the hands of her Savior on Saturday, November 2, 2013. She passed peacefully in the loving presence of her family. Audrey was born in New London, MN on January 25, 1932, to Rev. George and Laura Knudson, and moved to Marinette in 1946. She graduated from Marinette High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Extension College and Augsburg College in Minneapolis. She married Lloyd Boettcher in 1953 and they spent their married life in a home that they built until they moved to Green Bay three years ago.

Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was true to her faith in God, and was active in many areas of church life. She enjoyed visiting with people, and was able to make strangers feel like she had known them forever.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lloyd; children, Bryan (Mary Beth) Boettcher, Green Bay; Charlene (Tom) Duening, Monument, CO; grandchildren, Brooke Umnus, Brent (Melissa) Boettcher, Brennan (Kaitlyn) Boettcher, Jennifer (Vance) Zahorski, Tiffany Duening; four great-granddaughters; Harper Boettcher, Elliot Boettcher, Bella Zahorski and Arianna Zahorski; a sister, Phyllis (Hal) Seim; and a brother-in-law, Mark (Lila) Thorpe. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Irma Thorpe.

Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church, 2700 Babcock Rd., Ashwaubenon from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the church with Rev. Bruce Pangborn officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

The family would like to extend thanks to the special people at Unity Hospice and Audrey's caretaker, Jone for their compassion, kindness, and care.
