Beiswenger, Bernard

Bernard C. "Bernie" Beiswenger, 73, of De Pere, was called home on Tuesday morning, February 12, 2013. He was born on August 12, 1939 in Milwaukee to the late Ben and Ruth (Gheres) Beiswenger. Bernie was a graduate of Custer High School in Milwaukee. Bernie proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1961. He was an elevator technician at Schindler/Westinghouse Elevator Company for 45 years. Bernie truly loved his grandchildren, who were number one to him. He also enjoyed bowling and golf. Bernie was proud of the home he shared with his wife, Kathy, and made their house home.

Bernie will be deeply missed by his best friend and wife; his six children, John, Kathy (Gary) Versteegh, Karen, Thomas (Steph), Jason, and Denise (Kent) Patton; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, John (Kim); a sister, Ruth Laur; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family are asked to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, WI, on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 12pm (noon) until 2pm when a memorial service will be held with Pastoral Minister Steven Donovan officiating.
