Cecelia Rzepka, 93, formerly of Pulaski, died peacefully Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Park Ridge, IL. The daughter of Gus and Anna (Dykla) Gutowski was born January 6, 1919 in Sobieski where she married Louis Rzepka on August 30, 1941.
She was the loving mother of Kathleen (Mel) Sass, beloved grandmother of Aveline (Frank) Wojtkiewicz, Anthony Rzepka, Gregory Rzepka, and Jennifer (Clint) Lester, great-grandmother "Busha" to Norah Lester, sister-in-law to Anne Gutowski, Carole Gutowski, Joseph Bulanda, and Dolores Rzepka and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Rzepka and two sons, Dennis (Janei) Rzepka and Thomas Rzepka.
Cecelia and Louis worked and raised their family in Chicago before retiring to Pulaski. Cecelia enjoyed baking, gardening, and playing Bingo. Her family wishes to thank St. Matthew Center for Health in Park Ridge for many years of excellent care.
Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, with a closing Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. The visitation continues at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 124 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30a.m., Fr. Finian Zaucha, O.F.M. presiding, followed by burial in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
