Chummy (Chad) Ullmer, 36, Anston - Town of Pittsfield, died at home unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday morning, January 23, 2014. The son of John and Audrey (Kaczmarowski) Ullmer was born September 28, 1977, in the Town of Pittsfield and was a lifelong Pulaski area resident, graduating from Pulaski High School in 1996.
On October 5, 2002, he married his first love, Jenny Shepeck, at SS. Edward & Isidore Church in Flintville. The couple lived in Anston, where Chummy farmed with his brother and best friend, Nick, and his parents. He was a kind and easy-going guy with a great sense of humor. Everybody received a nickname from Chummy. He worked hard on the farm he loved. All the kids enjoyed spending time there with him, especially his sidekicks, his son, Hayden and his godchild, Dalton. Chummy absolutely adored his kids and loved spending time with his son and daddy's little girls.
Survivors include his wife, Jenny; his three children, Hannah, Hayden, and Hallie, all at home: his parents, John and Audrey Ullmer, Pulaski; one sister, Becky (Rodney) Ruechel, Pulaski, and their children, Dalton, Mallory, and Dylan; one brother, Nick (Bobbie) Ullmer, Bonduel, and their children, Jackson, Ryan, Owen, Madison, Lexie, and Weston: Jenny's parents, Bill and Carolyn Shepeck, Appleton: Jenny's sister, Kati (Justin) Kersten, Kaukauna, and their children, Lilly, Alayna, and Colin: his maternal grandmother, Irene Kaczmarowski; his godparents, Eugene Kaczmarowski and Janet Sheedy; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stephen and Mary Rose Ullmer; his maternal grandfather, Ernest Kaczmarowski; an uncle, Rusty Ullmer, an aunt, Diane Kaczmarowski, and his cousin, Pauly Jarosinski.
Friends may call at SS. Edward & Isidore Church, 3667 Flintville Rd. (Green Bay), Flintville, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, with a Closing Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The visitation continues after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Fr. Dave Hoffman presiding. Burial will take place at a later date in the parish cemetery.
