Colleen R. Simon, 88, of Green Bay, passed away on January 14, 2013. She was born on May 2, 1924 to the late Linus and Emma (Wirtz) Golden. On February 12, 1960 she married Oliver Simon at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Colleen was in the restaurant and hospitality business, always making her guest feel welcomed. After retiring, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Colleen enjoyed many hobbies. She was an avid Packer fan and a very talented stain glass artist.
Survivors include her daughter, Molly and Marvin Paider, Green Bay; two grandchildren, Allison and Matthew Paider; two sisters-in-law, Lucy Ann DeWan and Jeanette Bodilly; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver; her brother, Patrick (Blanche) Golden; two sisters, Mary (Leo) Hartman and Kathryn "Bunny" (William) Rohloff.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 3-6 p.m. Thursday. Memorial service 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the Simon family at www.prokowall.com.
