Doris Hermans Obituary
Hermans, Doris M.

Doris M. Hermans, 85, Green Bay, went to be in the arms of the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2013 with her loving husband by her side. Doris was born on July 29, 1928 in Green Bay, the daughter of the now late Jules and Emma Delfosse. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1946. Doris was employed at Stewarts Smart Shop and VanderZanden Jewelers before she met the love of her life, Vincent Hermans. On February 14, 1953 she married Vince at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and the couple celebrated over 60 wonderful years together. Doris had many interests in life. Her primary focus was on her family and she cherished the many times spent together. She loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas and enjoyed spoiling her children and grandchildren. Doris was very involved in her family's lives and was always there to support them in their many activities, which she carried on to her grandchildren as well. Doris loved being up at their cottage on Ground Hemlock Lake and spent many hours in and on the water. She was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Doris is survived by her loving husband, Vince, one daughter and son-in-law Kathy and John Messerschmidt, Green Bay; two sons and daughters-in-law Kevin and Susan Hermans, Green Bay; Matt and Debbie Hermans, Saukville; 9 grandchildren Kyle Hermans, Andrew, Matthew, Michael and Nicholas Messerschmidt, Amanda and Kailyn Hermans, Celeste and Hunter Hermans, 1 sister-in-law Mercedes Hermans. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Brian, 4 brothers and 1 sister-in-law Walter, Orbie, Donald (Emerdine) and Byron Delfosse. 5 brothers-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law Leo Hermans, Harold (Ellen) Hermans, Frank (Gerri) Hermans, Evelyn (Edward) Moudry and Mary (Tom) Hogan.

We know Doris is resting with the Lord and is now peacefully with her son, Brian, who she has missed dearly for 11 years. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends.

Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church 312 Victoria Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established with donations being given to the Botanical Gardens, Wild Life Sanctuary or other charities of your choice. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staff at Allouez Parkside for all of their wonderful care shown to Doris.
