Emanuele "Sam" Badalamenti, 67 of Abrams, a much loved husband, father, grandfather "nonno," passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, November 16, 2012. The son of Vito and Giuseppina (Finazzo) Badalamenti was born January 14, 1945, in Cinisi, Italy. He came to America in 1966 and met Frances Bommarito. They were married on October 3rd, 1968. Together they had three children: Josie, Fara, and Vito. The family opened their business "Luigi's Pizza Palace II" in Sobieski in 1986. Sam took great pride in his restaurant. He made many lifelong friends and always treated everyone like family. His hobby farm was another passion. He enjoyed planting his garden, tending to his prize fruit trees and taking care of his many animals. But, what he was most proud of, was his family.
Sam is survived by his wife, Frances; children: Josie (Peter) Alfano, Illinois; Fara (Giovanni) Sollena, Green Bay, and Vito (Angie) Badalamenti, Sobieski; eight grandchildren, Peter and Cristina Alfano; Giuseppe, Salvo, and Giana Sollena; and Manny, Donatello, and Francesca Badalamenti; two sisters: Pina (Vito) Ofria, Italy, and Fanni (Gaspare) Bertollino, Italy; his mother-in-law, Fara Bommarito, Manitowoc; special nephew, Joe (Tricia) Impastato, Little Suamico; sister-in-law, Sara Gallina, Manitowoc; brother-in-law, Vince (Jill) Bommarito, Michigan; nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Agata (Jack) Impastato; father-in-law, Joe Bommarito; and one brother-in-law, Nick Gallina.
Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, Closing Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, Fr. Brendan Wroblewski, O.F.M., presiding. Entombment will take place in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
