Evelyn G. Bero, 91, Green Bay, died peacefully Friday, November 2, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Green Bay, September 12, 1921, she is the daughter of the late Silas and Theresa (Servais) Dequaine. She married Leo Bero on June 8, 1940, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1982. Evelyn worked as a waitress for many years at the Stratosphere and the Zuider Zee Supper Club's. She struggled with her health the last ten years but when she was well, she loved reading and going on car rides, especially out to lunch.
Evelyn is survived by her care-giving daughter, Phyllis Stuebs Hamm; two grandchildren, Karen Stuebs of Green Bay, and Glenn (Holly) Stuebs of Kissimmee, FL; great grandchild, Lacey (special friend, Brett) Stuebs; sister-in-law, Naomi Rauscher of Green Bay; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons-in-law, Arno Stuebs and Larry Hamm; brother-in-law, Cliff Rauscher; sister-in-law, Pearl Bero; niece, Cyndi Rauscher.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the funeral at 7:00 P.M. with Chaplain Sr. Marilyn Herr, OSF officiating.
