Evelyn M. Druckrey, 87, Cecil, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Shawano.
Evelyn was born on Oct. 25, 1925, in Zachow. to the late Earl and Dorothy (Kallies) Kammerman. At the age of eight she went to live with her grandmother, Caroline (Wellnitz) Kammerman in Cecil. She graduated from Shawano High School. On April 28, 1945, she married Edmund Druckrey. They farmed together on the family farm until Ed had a stroke. She then cared for Edmund until his death in February 1999. Evelyn was a mother to many individuals. She had a heart of gold, always putting others first, unconditional love, a strong faith, a very humble individual and always willing to lend a hand to help and seek out individuals of need. She always had a pot of coffee and snacks for those who came to visit. She loved to feed the squirrels and birds, play Rummikub and numerous card games. Faith, humor and music were a very important part of her life. "Cattle Call" by Eddy Arnold was her favorite traditional country song.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Jerry (Priscilla) Druckrey, Pulaski; Michael (Joan) Druckrey, Cecil; Jean (Jim) Bleick, Pulaski; five grandchildren, Todd Druckrey and Ted Druckrey (special friend, Amy), Jenny Druckrey, Michelle Bleick, Heather Bleick (husband, Peter Cervelli); two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jason Druckrey; a sister, Shirley Montour, Appleton; a half brother, Karlis (Kay) Kammerman, North Carolina; stepsister, Genevieve (Dennis) Bartline, Shawano; stepbrothers, Douglas Grosskopf, North Carolina; Merle (Mary) Grosskopf, Hawaii; sisters-in-law, Rose Kammerman, Green Bay; Ruth Marohl, Hales Corner; an aunt, Myrtle Kopis, Glendale, Ariz.; a cousin, Jackie (Kammerman) Korth; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law; her husband, Edmund Druckrey; an infant daughter; a brother, Earl Kammerman Jr.; stepmother, Vanita Kammerman; brothers-in-law, Don Montour, Victor Marohl, Art (Henrietta) Druckrey; stepbrother, Norbert Grosskopf.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Faith United Lutheran Church, Gillett, with Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Family and friends may call on Sunday, at Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil, from 4 until 8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at Footprints In The Sands Cemetery, Cecil. Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil is assisting the family.
The family would like to thank, Pastor John Laatsch, Dr. Kathleen Qualheim, Shirley Peterson, Bob and Bernice Banaszynski, Sharon Dingeldein, and Evelyn's many friends that visited with her. Also Rosa, Mary and the entire staff at Manor Care for their wonderful care and support.
