Bachmann, Gloria

Gloria J. Bachmann, 74, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014, after an illness. She was born in Manitowoc October 18, 1939, to Lawrence and Florence (Piehl) Granger. On November 14, 1959, she married Darul Bachmann who lovingly called her his "Little Flower". The couple raised four children together and just like her favorite Anne Murray song, shared this dance for the rest of her life. This past November, they celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Gloria retired from Essco Inc. in 2005, after over 35 years of service as an office manager.

Known not only for her delicious meals, Gloria said that her legacy would be her collection of cook books. She volunteered for Manna for Life Food Pantry and Thrift Store and enjoyed playing solitaire on her computer. But as a devoted grandmother, she especially enjoyed time spent with and talking to her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Darul, Green Bay; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Jody Darby, Rockdale, TX; Jennifer and Brian Tilkens, Amberg; one son, Jerome Bachmann, Green Bay; her grandchildren, Josh (Rachel) Darby, Christopher (Kara Phillips) Darby, Charles (Patti) Darby, Hailey Bachmann, Kaela Bachmann, Wyatt Tilkens, Hannah Tilkens, Megan Bachmann and Justin Bachmann; her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Luna and Allison; a sister-in-law, Alonda (Roy) Potts; a brother-in-law, Dennis Bachmann; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Bachmann; her parents and a brother, Robert Granger.
