Heidi Cavender Obituary
Cavender, Heidi Marie

Heidi Marie Cavender, 35, Howard, died peacefully, with family by her side, on July 4th, 2014. She was born May 4th, 1979 to Bob and Dianne (Payette) Cavender, of Howard. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1997 and later received her nursing degree from NWTC. She was engaged to Nevin Cain, son of Ned and Carol Cain. Heidi was employed by Independent Living as a personal caregiver.

A gentle soul with a nurturing spirit, she loved helping people and always had a special place in her heart for the elderly. Heidi loved nature and had an affinity for trees, plants and animals. She enjoyed camping, hiking and fishing, and always felt more at home outside than in. Her happiest times were spent at the family cabin they called "the shack". Throughout her life, the shack was a safe and peaceful place where Heidi would gather with her family, her parents, brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles. She spent countless hours there over the years, going for long walks in the woods, playing cards and sitting around the bonfire. She enjoyed all kinds of music, dancing, and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Heidi was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, niece, friend and fiancée and she will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. She is deeply mourned by her surviving family, her parents, Bob and Dianne Cavender; two brothers, Patrick (Michelle) Cavender, Paul (Julie) Cavender; and two nephews, Sam and Colin, as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
