Ila M. Basten, 87, Green Bay, died at a local assisted living facility on Monday, May 28, 2012. Born on June 19, 1924, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Charlie and Emma (Matheys) Conard. On June 26, 1943, she married Milton "Mick" Basten, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2007. Ila enjoyed her time at Moraine Ridge Senior Living with family and friends, especially times playing cards, going out to eat, and shopping.

Ila is survived by two children, Cheryl (Leon) Brunner, Green Bay, and Mark (Ann) Basten, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Keith (Lisa) Brunner, Kevin (Tracy) Brunner, Kyle (Karen) Brunner, and Melissa Basten; seven great grandchildren, Crystal, Tiffany, and Noah Brunner, Ava and Adam Brunner, and Elsa and Emma Brunner; one sister, Bernadette Daniels; one special cousin, Ceil Mooren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Robert Conard; and one brother-in-law, Norman Daniels.
Visitation at St. Bernard Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Friday at the church with the Rev. Dave Pleier officiating.
