Aschenbrener, Jerrom "Jerry"
Jerrom "Jerry" Aschenbrener, 81, of Green Bay, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013. The son of the late Frank and Marie (Ennis) Aschenbrener was born on December 4, 1931 in Laona, WI. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1956. He served in the Korean War aboard the USS Smalley. Jerry taught Biology at Green Bay West High School for 30 years. He was an advocate for children with learning disabilities, and served as the president of the Wisconsin Association for Children with Learning Disabilities. Jerry was also active on the national level.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife, Gloria; his five children, Elizabeth (Joseph) Piumbroeck, James (Diane) Aschenbrener, Anne (Hugh) Leasum, Mary (Stephen) Zimmerman, John Aschenbrener; Gloria's three children, Clayton Jr., Randall (Robyn), Gary (Jim); 13 grandchildren; Six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonhard (Mary) Aschenbrener, John Aschenbrener, Carl (Eva) Aschenbrener, and two sisters, Elizabeth (Bill) Rolland; Kathryn Stapleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Francis Aschenbrener, and a sister Jane O'Connor.
