JoAnn M. (Van Ark) Baenen, 74, Green Bay, born to Eternal Life on Friday morning, November 30, 2012, while at a local care facility. Born on January 9, 1938, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Bernard and Ethel (Koch) Van Ark. JoAnn married Donald R. Baenen on June 2, 1962, in Green Bay and they enjoyed 50 years together. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, cherished mom and the proudest gramma EVER.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters, Julie (Robert) Vanderloop of Grafton and Kris (Todd) Nimocks of Green Bay; two granddaughters, whom she always referred to as "her little treasures", Andrea Jo and Madison Marie Vanderloop; one sister, Suzanne (Sherman) Steffens of Eagle River; two brothers, Fred (Marg) Van Ark of Suamico and Bernard (Pat) Van Ark of Plymouth, MI; many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and very special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; niece, Sherry Steffens; and nephew, Dan Piotrowski.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Wednesday, December 5th from 9am until the time of the mass.
